What to Know Before Going to Ak-Chin Pavilion

Ak-Chin Pavilion is one of Phoenix’s premier outdoor entertainment venues. When you make the move to live in an apartment in Phoenix, you open yourself up to myriad opportunities to enjoy concerts and other live entertainment at the arena. Here’s what you need to know to have the best possible experience.

Weather

Here in Phoenix, we are lucky enough to experience beautiful weather throughout the year, making Ak-Chin Pavilion concerts a joy to attend in any season. During the summer, temperatures can soar over 100 degrees Fahrenheit, so you may wish to wear a hat to keep the sun off your face for daytime events. Don’t forget to wear sunscreen, too. In the winter, temperatures drop down into the high 40s, so you’ll definitely need to wear long pants and a warm jacket.

Parking

For most events, the cost of parking is included in the ticket price. VIP parking is also available for $20 per vehicle. The parking lot usually opens two hours before the start of a show.

Getting There

To get to Ak-Chin Pavilion from the center of the city, take I-10 West and get off at exit 136A for 79th Avenue. Make a left on Encanto Boulevard. The venue will be on your left side. You can also get to the arena via the city’s public bus system.

Types of Events

You’ll find a wide variety of Ak-Chin Pavilion concerts, covering the full spectrum of musical styles. From country to pop to rock and roll to classical, there is something on the event schedule to suit just about every taste.

Venue Policies

When you attend an event at Ak-Chin Pavilion, you’ll need to stash your belongings in a see-through bag. Ak-Chin Pavilion seating is divided into three tiers. Those sitting in the general admission section may bring their own blankets, seating cushions or chairs, so long as they sit no more than 9 inches above the ground. Patrons over 21 years of age may purchase alcohol at the venue, but you are not permitted to bring your own.
