How to Make the Most Out of The Las Vegas Market

The Las Vegas Market Show returns to Sin City from Jan. 22-26, and with it come thousand of opportunities to redecorate or, if you’re lucky, decorate your new apartment.

The show will be held at the Las Vegas World Market Center and will feature a variety of home furnishings, such as furniture and decorative items. If that weren’t enough, the show not only includes items from areas throughout the U.S. but also Canada, Australia and the U.K., among other countries. This year also features two new additions, housewares, and outdoor items.

To make this shopping extravaganza the least overwhelming as possible, here are some tips to make the experience fun and affordable.

Register Before the Event
To get into the event you have to be registered, so you might as well do it beforehand to avoid the hassle and long lines of registering the day of. It’s free and will save you a significant amount of time.

Take A Look at the Previews
The website for the show has two digital preview booklets that feature many of the items that will be at the show. You should take a look at each so you have an idea of the cost of the items you want. Planning what you want to buy can be your penny-saving salvation. Going in without a plan makes it much easier to splurge on things you may not really want or need.

Follow the Event on Social Media
As soon as you can, follow the show on social media. The various platforms feature updates regarding the show as well as deals.

Use a Map
A map will come in handy for both inside and outside the venue. If you’re driving to the event, consider downloading the parking map so you know where to go. To avoid getting lost indoors, consider checking out the Exhibitor Directory or downloading the Las Vegas Market App.

Be Prepared
There will amenities and restaurants available but if you really want to save you may consider eating before arriving at the show and come prepared with snacks from home. Also, bring good walking shoes. The venue is 5 million square feet and the exhibits you may want to see may be significantly spread out.

If You Can Only Make One Stop, Go to The Pavilions
The Pavilions feature the temporary exhibits, meaning they may not around for the whole five days. You should take a look before they’re gone. Also, consider going on Jan. 23 when the Cash & Carry Shopping Spree happens from 6-8 p.m.
